These terms govern your use of marcovanderweijden.com (the "site"). By using the site, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Who runs the site
I am Marco van der Weijden, based in Zurich, Switzerland, and I operate the site. You can reach me at [email protected]. The Director Suisse and Direxis practices described on the site are operated by Vervitas GmbH, Zurich.
2. Information only
The site presents my background, views and work. It is general information. It is not legal, tax, financial, investment, accounting or other professional advice, and it is not an offer or a solicitation to provide or buy any service or security. Do not rely on it for a decision about your own situation; take advice from a qualified professional.
3. No engagement by visiting or contacting me
Visiting the site or sending me a message does not create a client, advisory, director or other professional relationship, and it does not create a duty of confidentiality beyond what the law imposes. The services of Director Suisse and Direxis are provided only under a written agreement signed with Vervitas GmbH, after the checks and conditions that apply to each engagement. Please do not send confidential, privileged or sensitive information through the contact form or by email before such an agreement exists.
4. Accuracy and availability
I take care with what I publish, but I give no warranty that the content is accurate, complete or current. The views are my own and may change. I may change or remove content without notice, and the site may be unavailable from time to time.
5. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the content, design and photographs on the site are mine or used with permission, and all rights are reserved. You may link to the site and quote short extracts with attribution and a link to the source page. Any other copying, reproduction or reuse needs my written permission. Names, logos and marks of third parties belong to their owners, and mentioning them does not imply endorsement.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the site, probe it for weaknesses or disrupt it;
- use bots or scripts to submit the contact form or to overload the site;
- use my contact details for unsolicited marketing or to compile lists; or
- impersonate me or suggest a connection with me that does not exist.
7. Links to other sites
The site links to other sites, such as my LinkedIn profile. I do not control them and I am not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8. Liability
You use the site at your own risk. To the extent Swiss law allows, I am not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of the site or from reliance on its content, from errors, interruptions or unavailability, or from the content of linked sites. Liability for unlawful intent or gross negligence, and any liability that mandatory law does not allow to be excluded, is not affected.

How I handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. The cookies the site uses are listed in the Cookie Policy.
10. Changes
I may change these terms. The version on the site, with the date at the top, applies from the date it is published. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in force.
11. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Zurich, Switzerland have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere, for example as a consumer.
